Update on our activities

Well, last Saturday, we sold hot dogs and nachos with and without chili at the local high school's Teen Fest. The sun wasn't co-operating all day but did peek out for a couple of hours. The kids had a dunking tank, which was fun to watch. One of the fun things they did was to pie one of the teachers (he was a good sport!) then the next thing he did was the dunk tank to clean off!

We had the hot dogs for lunch and you can see the giant hot dog Emil gave me!

Yesterday, we attended the Police & Fire Awards. The officers, firefighters and paramedics were honored for their work in the community, their acts of heroism and one officer who lost his life was honored.

Check this out!

It this way cool or what? My SIL in Missouri asked everyone on the family to send her an outline of their hand and she put them all together and made this quilt for my MIL. As a non-sewer (hems are a challenge, as in, can I hem up a pair of pants without poking myself first?) I love to see the quilts my SILs make while I just have to dream about being able to sew a straight line.

This past week...

I'd almost forgotten about these pictures that was taken! Isn't this a hoot? I'm slowly getting some pictures back from the castle event. I hope I can get the balance of them soon!

Couple of weeks ago, we went to the crab feast and I'd forgotten to post about it. Can we say yummy???????????

Silent Auction cards

These are the cards I did for the silent auction to the left. I want to thank Annette for inspiring me on some of the cards as she was one of the first to send me my birthday card and I was at the point of trying to figure out how to do the cards. She helped jumpstart me! Oh, yeah, and sorry some of the pictures are blurry. I was just having one of those times that I couldn't get it right!!

More pictures added

I've added more pictures from the campaign kickoff from Saturday in the sidebar. Thanks to Joe who took these pictures (and more). As I get more photos from a couple of other people, I'll add them on to the slideshow. I'd make it bigger, but it makes the balance of the page all wonky. Maybe I should add it to the body of another post when I get all the pictures together.

What a week!

Monday I worked and we had our Peninsula Council (buffet dinner that was really good!), Tuesday I was off, but had to catch up stuff from the weekend and set up the agenda for our board meeting, Wednesday I worked and went to the SF Council (soul food in honor of Black History Month), yesterday I was off and didn't want to move, but did some laundry and a bit of paperwork and then headed off to Half Moon Bay for their Wild Game Feed (Bud Girl with HMB president, me and Ken and me and the bear) and then today I worked my rear off and NO dinner meetings out!

Tomorrow I'm hoping to participate in an on-line crop (scrapping) and then we head out to San Bruno for their crab fest. That's fun as the food's good and they have a DJ that plays music I like. Sunday will be free, unless you count laundry and paperwork free!
